♦ It’s been over a year now since we interviewed Kenny Lane (Salisbury Police Department), Chris Borre (Rowan-Salisbury Utilities), and Scott Hunt (Parks and Recreation) who were either wrongfully terminated or harassed out of employment by the city of Salisbury. Other loyal and long-term City of Salisbury, N.C. employees suffered similar situations at the hands of city management. Undoubtedly more will experience this fate as Salisbury heads deeper into that place between insolvency and the paperwork of bankruptcy. The exact day and the hour are unknown and especially difficult to determine in a government where cover-ups are part of everyday life.
This revisiting of the unforgotten’s stories is dedicated to all of those ex Salisbury employees who are suffering and jobless now and to those yet to come.
