♦ With surprisingly few “La Resistance” members in the audience, the county commissioners withdrew their LGC application and terminated the 7:30 pm public hearing slated for the West End Plaza. Vice-Chairman Pierce made a motion to withdraw the LGC application, maintaining the commissioners want to rewrap it with other items so it doesn’t affect county’s fund balance.
Jon Barber was ruled out of order by Chairman Jim Sides for referring to the county commissioners as “F Troop.”, an allusion to a TV sitcom.
County commissioners voted 5 to 0 to approve the lease for the Rowan-Salisbury Schools’ “1 to 1 Apple program for students and teachers.
Commissioner Barber also objected to the Commissioners approving a resolution for a moratorium on litigation between school board and commission.
