♦ Tuesday the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office reported that two black males entered the store at “Love’s Travel Plaza” on the 1100 block of Peeler Road, distracted the clerk’s attention, and pilfered 28 cartons of cigarettes from behind the counter before fleeing. The theft was caught on a surveillance camera.
