♦ The Sheriff’s Office is placing yesterday’s escapee from the Magistrate’s office Jameel Kenneth Stephens-Maddox, 21, on the MOST WANTED list and are now offering a $1,000 dollar reward for information leading his arrest. Anyone with information about should call the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office’s 1st Lt. Chad Moose at 704-216-8687 or 911. Do not attempt to apprehend.
From yesterday’s report:
Jameel Kenneth Stephens-Maddox, 21, a suspect in a vehicle chase was being booked at the magistrate’s office at 10:30 a.m., when he fled. Mr. Stephens-Maddox ran up a patrol car which he used to clear the fence and disappeared in a full sprint into the downtown Salisbury. The area around Church and Liberty quickly drew swarms Salisbury Police and Deputy Sheriffs. The hunt continues.
Stephens-Maddox from Spencer is described as a black male sporting dreadlocks and attired in a white t-shirt and denim shorts. At the time of his initial booking he had 7 outstanding warrants.
