♦ Salisbury Police report the arrest of Alex Quintel Lynch, 20, of Salisbury, N.C. after serving a search warrant on a house on the 700 block of East liberty Street and locating firearms. The house was the same one struck by a 9 bullet fusillade last Tuesday evening where slugs struck the front door, gutter, and siding. Mr. Lynch was among the 6 adults and a small child in the house when the drive-by, termed a “statement shooting” by police, was reported. Mr. Lynch is viewed by Salisbury police as the likely target of the shooting. He sustained minor injuries when he was shot in another incident two weeks ago.
Mr. Lynch, a convicted felon not permitted the possession of a gun, was arrested on weapons charges after police found firearms on the East Liberty Street premises. He is in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $15,000 bond.
