♦ The next Chamber Think Tank Community Forum will be held at the East Innes Street Blue Bay restaurant on Aug 24th at 4pm. Chamber Warrior, Chris Sharpe, will be facilitating this important session. The overall monthly topic will be Healthcare, and will specifically focus on how to effectively deal with Mental Health concerns, care access challenges, and youth behavioral concerns.
Over the past year, the Chamber has aggressively tackled relevant issues such as Education disparities, Racism/Oppression, Law Enforcement and Politics, but in light of recent high profile suicide deaths and those not widely reported, this is a conversation that has to be held. .
The presenters for the session will be:
• Tammy Ford, RN, MHA Rural Health Nurse Educator,
• Mr. Ronnie Glover, LCSW and Case Manager for Veterans in the MHICM (Mental Health Intensive Case Management) program, which is designed to help chronically mentally ill Veterans to remain out of the hospital. He also serves as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Nazareth Children’s Home.
