♦ We’re looking for firsthand accounts of grave robbing in Salisbury, N.C. taking place within the span of 1955 to the present. We’d like to hear from law enforcement officers past or present, cemetery workers/managers, or families with firsthand knowledge of these crimes said to be prevalent in Salisbury during economic downturns and during the Great Depression.
Of particular interest are grave robbing gangs, body snatchers (Individuals stealing corpses for medical dissection and the body parts trade) and the more notorious of nocturnal criminals given to stealing jewelry, furs, and artifacts from the dead.
