♦ Robinette Tilley, remains in critical condition in Mission Hospital in Asheville, after the motorcycle death of her husband Don Tilley owner of Tilley Harley-Davidson of Salisbury and Statesville, N.C. The Tilleys’ Harley crashed on the Blue Ridge Parkway Friday night. Mr. Tilley, with his wife Robinette riding, lost control of his Harley on a curve near Milepost 394 on the Parkway. The husband was pronounced dead on the scene.
All day long the Tilley family arrived at Mission Hospital to follow the progress of Robinette who sustained massive injuries that may leave her partially paralyzed. As of Saturday night Mrs. Tilley remains listed in critical condition. More surgeries are expected.
All day Saturday condolences and prayers poured in from across North Carolina for the Tilleys from their many friends.
The Tilleys, married 40 plus years, rode with a group of friends as part of a Harley-Davidson Dealers Association ride starting in Nashville, Tennessee.
