♦ Salisbury Police arrested validated gang member Marquise Sential Robinson, 21, of the 400 block of Grace Street, with felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver a controlled substance schedule VI, felony maintaining a dwelling for controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and probation violation. During a raid on his apartment officers seized drugs, pills, $668 in cash and a weapon.
Already on electronic house arrest, Robinson watched as officers located a pound of pot stashed throughout his house in a child’s bedroom, freezer, and beneath a couch cushion. The raid was conducted as a warrantless search after the police were contacted probation/parole office. Previously Robinson was charged with weapons possession.
Robinson is currently being held in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $60,000 secured bond.
When Robinson came to the door at the outset of the raid he was patted down whereupon a bundle of cash was found on his person. Robinson gave the raiders consent to search his apartment.
Besides the pot, police also found plastic baggies, digital scales, a Glock 23 with an extended magazine with 18 40-caliber hollow point bullets, and 3 38-caliber bullets secreted about the apartment.
At first Robinson denied the drugs were his, then later admitted they were. A girlfriend dwelling in the apartment was not charged.
Robinson’s previous convictions were for disorderly conduct, assault by pointing a gun, resisting arrest, possession of firearm by minor, riot and civil disorder, carrying a concealed weapon, assault on a female and misdemeanor traffic infractions.
