♦ Police arrested misdemeanor drug possession and was placed on probation., 47, and Akeem Lamar Blackwell, 24, of Salisbury Friday afternoon for drug possession and carrying a concealed .38 revolver. Salisbury Police pulled over Keith Douglas Davidson, who was driving a Ford Econoline van and Akeem Lamar Blackwell, his passenger, on the 300 block of Faith Road following a narcotics investigation.
A search of Davidson netted found a .38 revolver in his waistband and $47 in his pockets. 10 doses of oxycontin and 6.8 grams of pot were found in the Econoline’s console.
Davidson, from the 200 block of Pickler Road, was charged with felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver a controlled substance schedule II, misdemeanor carrying a concealed weapon, misdemeanor simple possession of marijuana, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Blackwell, from the 1200 block of Park Avenue, was charged with felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver a controlled substance schedule II and misdemeanor simple possession of marijuana.
Davidson and Blackwell each received a $5,000 secured bond and were both released from the Rowan County Detention Center.
Blackwell was previously convicted of a misdemeanor drug possession in 2012 and was placed on probation. Davidson showed no prior convictions.
