♦ It’s said that visiting hospitals can be a stressful event for some. Telvin Maurice Morgan, 23, of the 100 block of East Henderson St. in E. Spencer faces 6 charges for allegedly going ballistic in the parking lot of Salisbury’s Novant Health Rowan Medical Center.
Mr. Morgan is charged with assault on a female, possession of marijuana, discharging a firearm in the city limits, carrying a concealed gun, communicating threats and disorderly conduct. All six charges are misdemeanors.
According to Salisbury Police sources Morgan allegedly discharged a firearm within Salisbury city limits, struck a woman with an open hand, threatened a Salisbury police officer, carried a concealed .22 caliber handgun, and had marijuana on his person. Further Morgan its alleged Morgan shouted and cursed at doctors, nurses, and police officers in Novant Health Rowan Medical Center’s parking lot as well caused $200 worth of damage to a police vehicle.
Morgan is now housed at the Rowan County Detention Center on $15,000 secured bond.
