♦ A Program will be held on Wednesday, October 8, in the Stanback Room of the Rowan Public Library at 6:30 p.m. The guest speaker will be Ms. Cassy (C. L.) Gray who will present a program on Gen. Robert E. Lee and Gen. “Stonewall” Jackson. Ms. Gray is an historian of the armies of the Confederacy, editor of The Stainless Banner – a free e-zine focused the armies of the Confederacy, and is the editor-in-chief of The Stainless Banner Publishing Company, dedicated to the preservation of Southern history and heritage. She has authored several books on the War for Southern Independence.
Ms. Gray traveled throughout the South giving programs on Stonewall Jackson, Robert E. Lee, J.E.B. Stuart at Gettysburg, Gen. Forrest at Fort Pillow, and Braxton Bragg. She spoke at Confederate Day at Stone Mountain in Georgia, and The Henry Wirz Memorial at Andersonville, Georgia.
