♦ Violent crime is on the uptick again in Salisbury’s West End.
Saturday morning at 1 a.m. Salisbury Police and emergency responders were summoned to a home on the 700 block of Victory Street where they found Aaron Phillip Vaughn, 37, laying on the floor shot to death. The street became a behive of activity a short time later as police investigators flooded the area and began questioning nearby neighbors.
On Thursday a drive-by shooting by two gunman on mo-peds took place in the West End on the 1600 block of West Horah Street.
Many residents city-wide question whether there is adequate police patrol coming from a badly understaffed Salisbury Police Department.
