♦ Antonio Montreal Chambers, 25, was gunned down at the Colonial Village Apartments in Salisbury, N.C. according to Salisbury Police sources.
At around 3:30 a.m. the Salisbury Police were summoned to Apartment 43 in the Colonial Village Apartments on 231 D Avenue. Mr. Chambers was found in his bedroom and pronounced dead on the scene.
Chambers has a record of previous convictions. Police sources are saying his shooting death was not random.
All through the early morning hours investigators were knocking on doors and questioning neighbors. The Colonial Village Apartments parking lot was crowded with police vehicles.
The murder rate continues to climb in Salisbury, N.C. a major per capita violent crime player in the state.
