♦ Isiah Paul Mendez, 18, from the 1200 block of N. Church in Salisbury, N.C., was allegedly involved in at least two break-ins at the end of October where he targeted houses with shotguns, ammo, jewelry, and security cameras.
Mendez was charged with 2 counts of breaking or entering, 2 counts of larceny after breaking and entering and 1 count of larceny of a firearm.
Mendez allegedly broke into 2 houses on October 22nd. The first was on the 600 block of Grampian Road in Mount Ulla where he is said to taken items valued at $1,000 which included: 45 caliber ammunition, security cameras, a box of 12 gauge shotgun shells, and a 20 gauge single-shot shotgun. From the house on the 2900 block of Goodnight Road he allegedly helped himself to $500worth of items including a gold chain and a 12 gauge Mossberg pump shotgun.
Mendez has a previous record of arrests for felony possession of firearm by a felon, misdemeanor carrying of a concealed gun, misdemeanor possession of marijuana and misdemeanor resisting public officer.
Mendez is currently being held on a $15,000 bond in the Rowan County Detention Center in Salisbury, N.C.
