♦ A black male gunman, wearing a black park and black hoodie, stuck up the BP Rushco convenience store at 1901 W. Innes near Statesville Blvd and the Walgreens in Salisbury after 8 p.m. on Tuesday. The gunman jumped the counter and pressed his face against the female clerk’s face as he held an automatic to her head. The clerk got the message and quickly handed over an undisclosed amount of money. The gunman vaulted back over the counter and left the gas station store before disappearing into the night.
The Salisbury Police responded a short time later. A police K-9 tracked the robber’s scent for a few minutes down Mahaley Ave. toward Knox Middle school only to lose the scent.
