♦ A mystery woman attempted withdrawing $1,800 from the Wells Fargo Bank on 1300 W. Innes with a stolen debit card belonging to a Daytona Beach woman last Friday. Luckily an alert bank teller had just saw a bulletin describing a woman attempting to employ the stolen debit card, the victim’s driver’s license, and the White VW the scammer drove.
When the teller asked the mystery woman to come into the bank she balked, saying she was in a rush. At that point the teller kept the debit card and license and the mystery woman thought the better of the transaction and sped off.
The VW’s license showed the car was from Fayetteville, N.C. The Mystery woman departed long before the Salisbury Police showed.
