♦ Shootings appear to be ramping up in Salisbury, N.C. with yet another drive-by. An unidentified 27 year-old gunshot victim was transported to Novant Rowan Regional Medical Center after being shot at multiple times on the lot of a BP gas station at 1901 W. Innes Street near Lily Ave. The incident happened around 10:20 p.m. Friday. The victim was targeted by a gunman riding in the front passenger seat of a dark Chevrolet Suburban which sped off toward Statesville Blvd. after the shooting. The wounded man, sustaining a wound in the right thigh, was said to be uncooperative with police on the scene.
About the same time police were investigating the shooting at the BP station, they received a call about another gunshot victim showing up at Novant Rowan Regional Medical Center. This shooting may be linked to the drive-by at the BP station.
