♦The 2013 Salisbury Farmer’s Market opens their season this Saturday at 8 am at it’s new location on the Wrenn House Restaurant parking lot across from the Rowan County Public Library.  The lot is located at the corner of West Fisher and South Jackson streets in downtown Salisbury.  The Salisbury Farmer’s Market will be doing business twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8 am until noon.  Local producers will offer produce, meat, baked goods, flowers, bedding plants, and handmade crafts.

Opening day will feature locally grown produce including broccoli, cabbage, lettuce, Swiss Chard, cauliflower, asparagus, spinach, and an assortment of leafy greens. As always baked goods, area meats, and handmade crafts will be available along with a selection of bedding plants such as herbs, flowering annuals, and vegetable transplants.

The Salisbury Farmer’s Market is a place to meet up with friends and neighbors and catch up on what is happening in local growing from the farmer’s themselves.  If you love good healthy food this market is a must do.
