♦ Convicted sex offender Leslie Marie Plagens-Eidson, of 220 Grand Oaks Drive in Rockwell, N.C. was arrested for visiting Erwin Middle School and Shive Elementary and failing to disclose her status as a sex offender. During both offenses, Plagens-Eidson was visiting her children. Plagens-Eidson, a registered sex offender has a conviction dating back to 1999 for taking indecent liberties with a 4 year-old child.
Erwin Resource Officer Tommie Cato notified the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office that Plagens-Edson, a registered sex offender showed up at both Erwin Middle School and Shive Elementary. Investigators determined Plagens-Eidson, without an escort, showed up at both schools to enroll her children. She appeared unescorted at Shive Elementary on November 13th and at Erwin Middle School on November 17th.
Resource Officer Cato noted that a file from the Kannapolis School System revealed Plagens-Eidson sexual offender status.
Last Monday Plagens-Eidson was charged with being a sex offender on a premises where children were present and had her bond set at $1000.
