♦ I was sorry to read elsewhere that Fred’s Super Dollar Store will be turning off the lights in Granite Quarry in December. Loved to go walking in Granite Quarry on that track around the pond in Granite’s Park. Afterwards we’d grab some bargain essentials at Fred’s. That is a painful hit for Granite Quarry that’s attempting to attract business. Mayor Bill Feather is doing his utmost to recruit supermarkets and retail there.
