♦ A burgundy Toyota pickup truck ran a stoplight and plowed into white Chevy Silverado pickup at the intersection of North Fulton St. and West Kerr St. this morning in Salisbury, N.C. The Chevy pickup overturned on the driver’s side. For a brief time the female driver was trapped inside the vehicle until firefighters cut open the Chevy’s roof and freed the woman. She was transported to Novant Rowan Regional Hospital. Her injuries were reported as non serious.
The female driver of the burgundy Toyota was charged with failing to stop for a red light and not possessing an operator’s license.
Salisbury Police, the Salisbury Fire Department, and Rowan County emergency vehicles all responded to the scene.
