♦ Salisbury’s Thomas “The Chemist” Martinez, 27, top gun meth manufacturer known for his creative use  of “Red P” meth processes, employing phosphorous and another process called “P2P”, utilizing platinum dioxide, was busted for making a “shank” in jail.

Martinez’s “shank” was a toothbrush with a highly sharpened point.  He also rigged a pencil with a razor blade tightly bound to it with string known among inmates as a “Slice N’ Dice”.

Martinez was charged with a single count of possession of a weapon by a prisoner.  He is being held under a $260,000 bond at the Rowan County Detention Center under charges of manufacturing, possessing, and trafficking methamphetamine.  Martinez was arrested in early November for a major meth operation in Rowan County.
