♦ In a city well known for its street corner “hot pants” brigades and being a pit stop on the I-85 “human trafficking” highway, the Salisbury Police body slammed one of Salisbury’s biggest tourism draws on New Years Eve when they shutdown 2 “Rough Trade” Massage Parlors and busted 5 “ladies” for unlicensed Massage.
Undercover investigators closed the net on an illegal massage parlor operating out of two Salisbury locations: 420 “D” Avenue and 1121 Old Concord Road, South. The operation billed itself as “The Original Hott Pink Therapeutic Massage Spa”. The women allegedly were offering message and sex at rates between $60 and $160 depending on services provided and the amount of clothing worn by the “masseuses”.

In the massage parlor roundup police snagged “johns lists”, phone records, and payment records.
The 5 women charged:
• Brittany Lucas Morris, 26, of Barn Dance Drive, Salisbury charged with offering massage without a license. Bond was set at $1000.

• Amy Jo Honeycutt, 46, Salisbury, owner of the spa, practicing massage without a license. Bond was set at $2000.
• Krista Carter, 23, Percy Lane, Rockwell, offering massage without a license. Bond was set at $10,000.
• Mary Elizabeth Barnett, 30, of Mooresville Road, Salisbury, offering massage services without a license. Bond was set at $10,000.
• April Lynn Upright, 29, Steven Drive, Salisbury. Offering massage without a license, various drug charges. Bond was set at $20,000.
