♦ Ex-East Spencer Policeman Alan Wayne Bridges, 30, living on the 100 Block of Shadow Creek Road in China Grove, was charged early Thursday by the SBI for felony breaking and entering for a crime occurring on November 29, 2014. Bridges was alleged to have broken into East Spencer Police Department on 105 South Long Street where it was said he stole $5.50.
Bridges was charged Thursday at the Magistrate’s Office in Salisbury, N.C. and was released on a promise to appear in Court.
The former officer worked with the East Spencer Police Department starting in October of 2013. He previously was employed as a police officer at UNC Charlotte campus and with the China Grove Police Departments.
