♦ Cartucci’s Grapevine on North Main in Downtown Salisbury, N.C. has officially closed. Will be replaced sometime in the future by a music bar billing itself as “Jack Rabbit Slim”. It is unrelated to several clubs across the United States named after “Jack Rabbit Slim’s” the dance club appearing in Pulp Fiction.
On January 10th Cartucci’s Grapevine posted: “Well – lots of changes happening …… Looking for 12 people with $1,000 each 120 with a $100 so on and so forth to support our space and our concepts continuation in Salisbury – message for more information if you want to keep this little Wine, Beer, Music, Talent & Comedy venue OPEN!”
This is the Grapevine’s space’s has gone through 3 owner changes in the last year and a half. Two, possibly 3 more shops in the unstable Downtown area are leaning toward closing. Several retail businesses are for sale.
