♦All across Rowan County and through out North Carolina and neighboring states thousands of Bible Believers and First Amendment Free Speech activists are planning activities, putting their hearts and souls into raising funds, and lighting a fire under money raising drives to defray the potential legal team costs for defending the Rowan County 5 in their battle to defend free speech in prayer.
In Rowan County two supporters Kathy Yost and Hollie Faerman-Diaz were out taking donations for yard signs and car magnets this weekend and running out of signs and car magnets. Already Pastor Bill Godair’s billboards are lighting the night highways in Rowan County. Money is being raised everywhere in advance of the Christian legal team naming who would be their point organization for this fund raising juggernaut. No doubt fund raising will encompass not only Rowan County and the State, but all 50 states and their territories. People from many nations throughout the world will likely be tossing money in the basket for what stacks up as a major trial. The highway to the Supreme Court may require a parade of Brinks trucks brimming with donations. Area congregations already are gearing up for the task.
Hollie Faerman-Diaz told the Rowan Free Press: “This weekend Kathy Yost and I have passed out over 60 magnet signs of the two sizes. I also have a waiting list with 48 names who will receive magnet signs from our 4th order this week. All 25 of the initial yard sign order, which isn’t even here until Wednesday, are spoken for. I have reordered all of the items because of the great showing of support. We have also had almost $400 donated to the effort in the past 24 hours!
We will be working on that this week. It is amazing to see what has come from such a small idea. When we started this, Mike and I just wanted to show our children that we live what we say. It is hard to tell your children to stand up for what they believe in of we don’t do the same. I am thrilled to see how God is using our little idea and taking it to a whole new level. God is definitely moving this thing forward. We could not have done this alone!”
Kathy Yost informed our staff today: “If anyone wants Hollie Faerman-Diaz yard signs and car magnets email her at:MakeMeDesigns@hotmail.com . Pastor Bill Godair’s website has t-shirts and you know they won’t last long.”
Months from now South of Rowan an armored truck will pull off into a weigh station and a weigh master will step out of his shack.
“Your tires look to be hauling a lot of weight.”
“That’s ’dust’ for Rowan County 5.”
“The cup runneth over.”
“You got that right Brother. Jesus’ Name stands for something down here.”
