♦ Salisbury’s last RadioShack, at 1301 E. Innes Street, closes on February 28th at part of its company’s bankruptcy filing. Last year Salisbury’s other RadioShack ceased operations at the West End Plaza. RadioShack Corporation, formerly Tandy Corporation, filed for Chapter 11 protection on February 5th under the U.S. bankruptcy law after 11 consecutive quarter losses.
RadioShack is headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas. The company owns 4,297 U.S. stores of which 1,784 are slated to close. Store closings will occur in 3 waves on February 17th, February 28th, and March 31st.
