Press Release
♦ Raleigh, NC – Today, the North Carolina House of Representatives passed HB 3, the Eminent Domain Bill, to a vote of 113-5. Speaker Tim Moore (R-Cleveland) issued the following statement in response:
“The Eminent Domain Bill marks this session’s first bipartisan effort by the House to protect the citizens of North Carolina. This bill gives property owners piece of mind by further restricting the government’s ability to seize property using Eminent Domain, and by establishing a more accountable process to achieve just compensation for property.”
