♦ Warning: There’s a major uptick in vehicle break-ins, vehicle vandalism, and vehicle theft in Salisbury. Much of the vehicle break-ins and thefts may be attributable to the legion of revolving door professional car thieves and break-in artists in the city’s neighborhoods. Especially hard hit are the country club, Catawba College area, Fulton Heights, Downtown, the West End, and the Historic District. Many of the vehicular break-ins may have been impacted by the city’s many homeless attempting to get out of the elements during the recent winter cold spell. Some broken windows, keying, graffiti, and roof dents are more likely the acts of random youthful vandals.
Always make sure your car doors are locked and your vehicle alarm systems are in excellent working condition. Avoid parking for any lengthy periods in super market parking lots, on Downtown side streets, and especially in the parking lots around Tinseltown. If your vehicle is broken into call 911 immediately and make certain that a report is filed.
Be on the alert for any suspicious activity in your community and report it immediately to a 911 dispatcher. P.S.–Don’t be messing around with someone’s man or woman (Below).
