♦ The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office and the SBI are searching for Melanie Ann Pruitt, 39, of Salisbury who was indicted on Federal drug charged for Methamphetamine “Ice” sales through the U.S. Postal Service. Pruitt along with Robin Lee Guest, 50, lived on a property owned by Catawba College and worked in their housekeeping department when they sold copious amounts of “ice”, considered the most potent form of crystal meth, to undercover investigators from July to October of 2014. The pair sent “Ice” from Salisbury to California via the U.S.P.S. During the investigation 155 grams of “ice” valued at $31,000 were sold to agents. Pruitt was allegedly involved in meth sales in Salisbury.
Federal investigators received assistance from Rowan County Sheriff’s Office, the Catawba College, the Salisbury Police, and the High Point Police department
Guest is currently in Federal custody after his indictment on Federal charges. Pruitt faces pending charges of being an habitual felon in County Superior Court.
