A Shooting on the 1500 Block of South Main in Salisbury, N.C. Two Suspects Flee Out of the Rear of a Boarding House

♦ Police are searching for two suspects, a male and a female, who fled out of the boarding house’s backdoor after the shooting Friday morning in violence torn Salisbury.  The boarding house is located on the corner of 1526 South Main and Mooresville Road near the Checkered Flag BBQ.

A yet unidentified male, living at the boarding house, sustained multiple gunshot wounds in a shooting that took place in an interior hallway. Police were dispatched to the scene around 10 a.m.

The victim was rushed by an emergency vehicle to Novant Rowan Regional Center and appeared to be bleeding profusely.  A short while later he was transported by helicopter to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.  He is reported recovering.

The 1500 block of South Main filled quickly with police and emergency vehicles while investigators spoke with residents of the boarding house and neighbors.   No motive is known for the shooting at this time although neighbors report the victim known to be hostile.
