♦ Ralph Brown, a former school administrator and charity yard sale organizer, had just returned to his home on Emerald Street in Salisbury when he confronted two hooded black males in his basement.  Within moments the duo held a black semi-automatic pistol on Brown and demanded he turn loose his wallet and cash.  In a gutty instant, devoid of second guessing, Brown attempted to grab the semi-automatic, but mercifully was only shoved away.  A brief struggle ensued before the two robbers stole a cell phone, snatched $300 dollars out of a bowl, and booked out of the house.

The gunman’s description: stocky black male wearing a red hoodie, dark pants, and tennis style sneakers with gold “detail”.

The 2nd robber’s description: a slight black male wearing a red hoodie, camo shorts, and sneakers.

Brown was not injured during the robbery.

The RFP advises unarmed citizens not to confront gunman in mismatches unless they want to risk winding up in critical care or worse.  Protecting small amounts of cash isn’t worth a joyride to the graveyard.

If you have any information about the robbers call the Salisbury Police at (704) 638-5333 or Crime Stoppers at 1-866-639-5245.
