♦ Another Pizza Hut delivery driver was stuck-up in Salisbury, losing his cash, pizza order, cell phone, and his car on Thursday at about 1:15 p.m.
The driver was lured to a house on 22 North Arlington Street where nobody answered when he knocked. When he started back to his 2012 Kia Soul, a man emerged from a nearby wooded area and held a gun on the driver demanding his wallet and cell phone while ordering him to the ground. Soon the gunman added a pizza order to his bounty as he took over as “pilot” of the pizza delivery car and sped off to enjoy a piping hot “Pizza Hut” Pizza. Grub, a wallet crammed with cash, free cell phone calling, wheels, and the freedom of the open road–what else could a heart desire? Maybe a little stretch in a penal institution?
The robber was described as a black man sporting a camo bandanna and hoodie sweatshirt.
If someone has information about this incident they are urged to call the Salisbury Police at 704-638-5333 or Salisbury-Rowan Crime Stoppers at 1-866-639-5245.
Delivery drivers are cautioned to remain alert and aware when making deliveries in Salisbury. The local gunmen are said to prefer wings and pizza.
