♦ “Don’t trouble trouble, unless trouble troubles you.” a Southern aphorism of unknown origins
Billy Floyd Pless, Jr.,62, Salisbury’s and Spencer’s “Human Crime Wave”, got busted by the Spencer Police and is back in the Rowan County Detention early this morning under a $1000 secured bond. He was charged with disorderly conduct (misdemeanor). Billy, as many of our readers know, appears to have difficulties staying out of trouble. Disorderly conduct is Pless’s “bread and butter”.
Early this morning Pless allegedly overstayed his welcome at Hendrix BBQ on North Salisbury Avenue in Spencer. He remained on the premises for two hours after closing and became beligerant loudly cursing at times. Pless was said to have made multiple nuisance 911 calls demanding that the dispatchers find him a ride to his van parked over at a Spencer repair shop. Finally the Spencer police’s patience wore out and Billy was arrested.
Pless was seen cavorting around the streets of Spencer and Salisbury back in April and more recently. Several folks saw fit in April to email the RFP, reporting the “Crime Wave” was enjoying the spring weather on North Main Street.
Folks are concerned about this proven public menace seeing daylight. Billy has a criminal record, stretching back to 1982. Anyone perusing Billy’s multiple trips through the criminal justice system must wonder why he doesn’t have the words “HABITUAL CRIMINAL” branded across his forehead.
In April of 2014 the unstoppable Billy Pless spoke at a Spencer Borough Alderman’s meeting where he demanded that police officers stop following him. During the same meeting he claimed he had been arrested 132 times since 1982 and felt police were harassing him. Increasing Pless’s legendary criminal status is his being observed motoring down I-85 in an electric wheelchair. During his previous assaults on women Pless was alleged to have popped a pimple on one woman’s face and cut the wart off another.
Pless’s unusual criminal history of assaults, trespasses, threats, disorderly conduct, and much more is partially enshrined in this state offenders list:
If you are a woman and see him on the streets, avoid eye contact and conversation if you can.
