♦ On Saturday Dashon Kyle Johnson, 35, of Salisbury was shot multiple times in a Food Lion parking lot near Mahaley Avenue in what sources describe as a “drive-by”.
The shooting occurred around 2:45 a.m. after Johnson was dropped off from a party. A shooter, in a yet to be identified white vehicle, drove through the lot and started firing. Johnson suffered multiple gunshot wounds to his head, torso, and wrist.
Rushed to Novant Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury, Johnson was later transported to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem where he was reported in stable condition.
The shooting remains under investigation. The Salisbury Police have a potential suspect. No arrests have been made at this time.
