♦Salisbury’s Main Street offers a vibrant corn-u-copia of urban decay, vacancies, wiggeries, junktique, bric-a-brac, consignment shopping, and well NO people. Since April 2012 when the following videos and photographs were shot numerous stores closed their doors and fiberboarded their windows.
Our collective heart grows numb at the thought so many great “unique” establishments like Foremz, Gray Shores, Penny Pinchers (Loved their belt buckles easily convertible to brass knuckles) and countless others sailing down the tubes for lack of human traffic. If only the Central Office was constructed on a quagmire of soggy contaminated infill, our fabulous Main Street would easily become the 9th Wonder of the World. And if the Empire Bat-Tel was resurrected? But alas a greater mind oversees the ecology of the universe.
En-joy vibrant Main Street Salisbury in these early 2012 videos and note how many stores disappeared from our landscape. Where are all our power shoppers?
