♦ Teela Evette Wilkins, 28, of the 300 block of Messner Street in Salisbury, was arrested by Rowan County Sheriff’s Deputies Saturday at U.S. 29 and Bostian Road near China Grove. Deputies allegedly found brass knuckles, a stolen handgun, a large quantity of crack cocaine said to be between 28 grams, but less than 200 grams, and less than a half ounce of marijuana in Wilkins’s vehicle.
Wilkins was charged with possession of a controlled substance II (crack cocaine) (felony), possession of control substance schedule VI (marijuana) (misdemeanor), weapons concealed from officer (brass knuckles), possession of a gun while trafficking (felony).
Under a secured $150,000 bond, Wilkins was in the Rowan County Detention Center before she was released on bail.
