♦ In the 2nd Salisbury convenience store robbery within the last 7 days, the Circle K Convenience Store at 1015 East Innes, near 1-85, was hit by a pair of armed bandits just after 4 a.m. Wednesday morning. After one of the bandits held a pistol on a clerk by the register and demanded money, the clerk turned over an undisclosed amount of cash. A safe behind the counter went untouched because the clerks has no way of opening it. A manager was not on duty at the time.
The two male robbers, pictured in the Circle K security stills, had their faces obscured by t-shirts. The bandit holding the gun at the counter, masked his face with white t-shirt, while the other robber, covering his face with a black t-shirt, stood watch by the front door.
Before the bandits fled the premises they made the clerks lay face down on the floor. The pair left gas station lot in a recent model silver Nissan Altima, turning against traffic on East Innes before heading toward Green Street.
The Nissan Altima was known to be stolen on Wednesday and has since been recovered.
Any persons with information about this robbery are requested to call the Salisbury Police at (704)-638-5333 or Salisbury-Rowan Crime Stoppers at 1-866-639-5245.
