Stanley Lamar Champion, of Salisbury, N.C. and Former Newspaper Carrier, Arrested Wednesday for Violating Sex Offender Probation

♦ Stanley Lamar Champion, 55, of 404 Ludwick Avenue in Salisbury and listed on the North Carolina Sex Offender Registry, was arrested Wednesday for allegedly violating probation for sexual crimes.

Employed as a Salisbury newspaper carrier in 2013, Champion was arrested and charged with stalking children at a school bus stop and for violating sex offender probation. In May 2013 he was convicted of multiple counts of 2nd degree sexual exploitation of a minor.

Champion was charged Wednesday with probation violation (felony).

Under a $10,000 secured bond,Champion was placed in the Rowan County Detention Center.
