♦ Jalonn Jacques Adkins, 18, of West Henderson Street in Salisbury was arrested last Friday for the October 16th knifepoint robbery and beating of Josue Esau Nunez, 22, in Salisbury. In the robbery Nunez was badly beaten and sustained facial injuries. Also arrested in the case on Friday was Tomanche Mysheme Jackson, 18, of Salisbury in what was described as a brutal “wolfpack” style attack. Approximately $500 dollars was stolen from Nunez who was left bloodied and senseless at the scene by the four attackers, some carrying knives, who left the scene in car. The attack, similar to others occurring in Salisbury, took place near Cherry and Clay Streets in the vicinity the Salisbury National Cemetery.
Adkins was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon (felony) and assault inflicting serious injury (felony). Under a secured $25,000 bond, Adkins is in the Rowan County Detention Center.
Jackson was also charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon (felony) and assault inflicting serious injury (felony). Jackson is under a $50,000 bond and remains in the Rowan County Detention Center.
