Only 15 out of 244 districts in the state received this status. 55.9 percent (19 out of 34) of schools within RSSS have are low-performing by the NCDPI standards. All of the middle schools in the Rowan-Salisbury School System are considered to be low-performing. All RSSS schools within the city of Salisbury, NC are low-performing except the Rowan County Early College, which serves the entire district. The district’s alternative high school, Henderson, did not make expected growth, but its data was not included in the district’s report card. Henderson is located in Salisbury.
