Many are questioning the city’s financial solvency with the visual breakdown of city services, the seeming inability to field a fully staffed police department and pay our officers a competitive wage, to pay back $7.6 borrowed from Salisbury-Rowan Utilities, and to repair and upgrade a seriously neglected water and sewer system. If the City of Salisbury could actually “fix” these dire requirements for basic city stability, what then is holding the city back? Is the City dwelling in the spirit world of “Magic Math”?
