♦ Jessica Nichole Nesbitt, 22, of the 400 block of East Second Street in Faith was arrested Saturday at the Salisbury Walmart Super Center for alleged shoplifting, heroin possession, and possessing illegal painkiller pills.
Allegedly caught on security camera, Nesbitt was spotted by Walmart’s loss prevention slipping cosmetics into a stolen book bag and her purse.
When Nesbitt attempted to leave the store, she was stopped near the entrance where she submitted to a search. Loss prevention discovered 3 syringes, a pocket knife, 4 gabapentin tablets, and 2 hydrocodone pills. Also found was heroin residue. The items taken from Walmart were valued at over $350.
Nesbitt was arrested and charged with possession of control substance schedule I (felony), larceny (misdemeanor), 2 counts of possession control substance schedule II (misdemeanor), and possession of drug paraphernalia (misdemeanor).
Under a secured bond of $3,000, Nesbitt is now in the Rowan County Detention Center.
