♦Today the Rowan County Commissioners voted 4 to 1 to okay $3.425 million for the Mall purchase and for the amended contract with County Manager Gary Page as the signature. Sides, Pierce, Mitchell, and Caskey voted to go forward with the Mall purchase with Jon Barber voting against it. The commissioners also voted to allocate up to 20% of the Mall for public education programs.
