♦ Ayyad Faour Sukkar, 16, of Arden Drive in Salisbury allegedly robbed a man at gunpoint of a cell phone on Forestdale drive in Salisbury back on February 19th. Sukkar was arrested Wednesday when the Salisbury Police learned of Sukkar’s identity from Offer Up, a website arranging online sales. Offer Up was the go between the victim and Sukkar on the cell phone deal.
Sukkar was charged with robbery with firearms or other dangerous weapons (felony). Under a secured $50,000 bond, Sukkar is being held at the Rowan County Detention.
Back on February the 19th Sukkar allegedly made arrangements through Offer Up to buy a cell phone from the victim. The victim was told to look for Sukkar standing in front of a house on Forestdale Drive. After the victim showed up, Sukkar got in the car with the victim and requested to examine the cell phone. Agreeing to the deal, Sukkar allegedly told the victim he would get the money and return. When he climbed out of the car, Sukkar walked around to the Driver’s side and pulled a pistol on him, saying: “That’s my phone now–give it up.” The driver obliged and drove away.
