♦ Wednesday morning around 5:30 a.m. a yet to be identified Black man was seriously gut shot during a home invasion at a yellow mobile style home at 1032 Glock Court in the Salisbury area. Its alleged that multiple persons were involved in the home invasion-robbery. Rowan County Sheriff’s Office sources believe the home was specifically targeted for the robbery, but at this time have not provided motives.
Sheriff’s vehicles and investigators swarmed the area. Yellow crime scene tape encircled the front yard of the mobile home. EMS were early on the scene to apply emergency treatment to the wounded man.
The victim was transported by AirCare, an emergency helicopter service, to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem for treatment. The wounded man’s condition has not been released.
The shooting remains under investigation. At this time no suspects have been named.
