♦ On Wednesday, May 11th at 6:30 p.m. award winning author and military historian Keith Jones will present a stimulating program on the “Status of North Carolina Newspapers in April 1861 at the outset of the War between the States” in the Stanback Room of the Rowan Public Library in Salisbury, N.C. Mr. Jones is the author of 3 history books and a two-time winner of the prestigious Gold Medal for History from the Military Writers Society of America. The program is free and open to the public.
