♦ The wave of criminal violence continued throughout the weekend in Salisbury, N.C. The tragic killing of Larry Lamar Cruse, 27, on North MLK, Jr. Avenue and the double-shooting near Bounce City at 120 N. Church Street Saturday morning (confirmed by a Salisbury Police Incident Report and a press release from the Salisbury Police Department).
On Friday the 13th James Lee Coble, 25, of 255 Large Ave. in Rockwell got a dose of Salisbury “hospitality” at the Economy Inn on 319 Bendix Drive when he was the victim of a strong arm robbery. Fortunately he suffered only minor injuries according to the Police report. Forcibly taken, from the slightly built Coble, were a set of keys and approximately $1,200 in paper currency. Cassie Lynne Coble, 27, was not harmed during the robbery.
On Saturday May 14th a burglar forced their way through the rear door of Apt.10b at the Zion Hills apartment complex on 1614 Standish Street. A Black male pulled a knife on Shanelle Nicole Sams, 25, but soon fled the premises. According to the police report Sams sustained only minor injuries. Nothing was reported stolen from her apartment.
