Ernest Barnhardt, Jr., and Lydia Nicopulus Busted Allegedly for Drugs Wednesday on Maple Avenue in Salisbury

♦ Early Wednesday morning the Salisbury Police raided a house at 920 Maple Avenue in Salisbury where they served search warrants on Ernest Anthony Barnhardt, Jr., 38 and Lydia Tabitha Nicopulos, 38, The police received complaints of alleged drug activity at that address. Seized in the raid were 5 grams of crack, a .38 caliber handgun, and 38 grams of marijuana.

Barnhardt was charged with possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver control substance schedule II (felony), possession of control substance schedule VI (misdemeanor), maintain dwelling/vehicle for controlled substance (felony), and possession of a firearm by a felon (misdemeanor). Under a secured $50,000 bond, Barnhardt was detained in the Rowan County Detention Center and later made bail.

Nicopulos was charged possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver control substance schedule II (felony), possession of control substance schedule VI (misdemeanor), and maintain dwelling/vehicle for controlled substance (felony). Under a secured $20,000 bond, Nicopulos is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center.
